Today’s khutbah teaches that being close to Allah should make us people of justice and care. Every person has responsibilities toward family, neighbors, the wider community, and even animals. We should speak truthfully, stand against wrong, choose ways of work and service that bring good, and care for people who are overlooked or oppressed. The strongest way to share Islam is to live its mercy and good character while praying for those suffering in Gaza, Palestine, and Sudan.

  1. Who is someone, or something, like an animal, that you are responsible for caring for this week?
  2. What is one kind action you could take at school, home, or in your neighborhood?
  3. How can our family show Islam through our actions instead of only our words?
