Faith must become practical service

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“it's not about slogans it's about the practicality it's about the structures it's about what you put into practice it's about relationships that you build”
“we're in charge of putting our best effort put our best foot forward and leave the rest and the results to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala”
“we have to strategically but with a heart full of love and sincerity share those to empower others not to spoon-feed people not to make them dependent on you”
“it's more important that it actually happens in practice and it has an impact and it empowers people”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khutbah reminded us that Islam is not just about saying good things or using inspiring slogans. Our faith becomes real when we build relationships, care for others, keep ourselves and shared spaces clean, and turn values into habits and institutions. The Prophet showed this by creating brotherhood between the Muhajirun and Ansar in Medina. We should use our skills, connections, and resources to help people with dignity and empower them rather than make them dependent. We should do our best, keep reminding one another kindly, and leave the results to Allah.
- What is one kind thing we can do this week instead of only talking about being helpful?
- How could we help someone feel comfortable asking our family for support?
- What shared place or habit can we keep cleaner as an act of faith?
