For the dinner table

The khutbah used Egypt's painful football loss to explore why injustice can wound us so deeply: sometimes we hope worldly victories will finally prove that we matter. The khateeb reminded us that all honour belongs to Allah, not to sports, institutions, careers, popularity, or other people's approval. Islam does not ask us to withdraw from the world; we should pursue excellence and speak against injustice while carrying our dignity with us. When humiliation comes, our path back to strength is returning to Allah's deen and reordering our priorities. Parents can help by sharing stories from the seerah, praying with their children, and teaching them where true honour comes from.
