For the dinner table

The khutbah asks us to move beyond simply knowing religious words and let worship change our hearts. Ayat al-Kursi teaches that Allah owns everything, needs nothing, knows everything, and sustains all creation. Our wealth, abilities, bodies, and knowledge are blessings, so we should be grateful without boasting and use what we have for good. Allah’s mercy remains open even after serious mistakes when we sincerely repent. Remembering that mercy should help us return to prayer, become better in our relationships, and keep trying after we fall.
