For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah gives us the ability to change our hearts. He encouraged us to restrain desires that lead us toward wrongdoing and to follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. He also explained that Jum’ah means gathering and spoke about the special blessings of Friday. He encouraged making du‘a, sending many blessings upon the Prophet, and coming early to Friday prayer. Together, we can give Friday more care and attention and help one another build these habits.
