Ramadan should lead to lifelong worship
“Ramadan is gone, but the Rabb of Ramadan is still here, so stay steadfast.”
In one sentence
The end of Ramadan should lead believers to lifelong tawhid, worship, repentance, family reconciliation, and steadfastness in Allah’s mercy.
The khutbah in 6 steps
- Reflect on Ramadan’s spiritual impact and remain steadfast after it ends.
- Celebrate Eid through love, family connection, and reconciliation with relatives.
- Make tawhid and worship central to every part of daily life.
- Remember life’s brevity and death as motivation to rush toward goodness.
- Return to Allah after sins and shortcomings, trusting in His forgiveness.
- Conclude with supplications for steadfastness, oppressed Muslims, and acceptance of worship.

Show love to family through smiles, kindness, and affectionate treatment.
Call relatives, including those who have hurt or cut you off, and maintain kinship.
Continue worship and remembrance of Allah every day, not only during Ramadan.
Think twice before lying, cheating, harmful business dealings, or engaging in haram activities.
Hold firmly to the Qur'an, seek forgiveness, and rush toward good deeds.

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“worship Allah is not just in Ramadan worship Allah is every single day of our life five times a day no with every breath we take with every step we take”
“Ramadan is gone but the Rabb of Ramadan is still here so stay steadfast be from the sabiqoon al awwaloon from those who rush to goodness and rush to Allah”
“when we sin we harm ourselves don't ever give up in the hope and mercy of Allah”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khateeb reminded us that Ramadan ending does not mean our relationship with Allah ends. Tawhid means worshipping Allah in every part of life, our work, family, choices, and private habits. He encouraged us to make Eid loving by smiling, caring for family, and reconnecting with relatives, even those who hurt us. He warned that life is short, but also told us never to despair because Allah forgives sins. We should keep praying, hold onto the Qur'an, rush toward good, and ask Allah to keep us steadfast.
- What is one Ramadan habit you want to continue this week?
- Who could our family call or visit to strengthen kinship?
- What does it mean to remember that Allah is still here after Ramadan?
