For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that the Qur'an should be at the center of Muslim life, not only recited but understood and practiced. The Prophet built a community whose honor came from learning, teaching, and living by revelation, and the companions let its words change their hearts and actions. We are encouraged to set aside time every day to recite, read a translation, and consult tafsir when needed. Families can build this culture at home by spending five to ten minutes each evening reading a verse together and discussing how it applies. The goal is to become companions of the Qur'an whose lives are guided by it.

  1. What is one Qur'anic teaching you would like our family to practice more consistently?
  2. What could we learn from a verse together tonight?
  3. When has a reminder helped you forgive or respond more kindly?
