For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us about tawheed: worshipping Allah alone and keeping our worship sincerely for Him. The khateeb warned against shirk, which he described as associating others with Allah or directing worship to someone other than Him. He connected this reminder to daily life by encouraging truthfulness and doing prayer, charity, and acts of kindness for Allah’s sake. He shared Ibrahim’s prayer asking Allah to protect him and his children from worshipping idols, reminding us that we all need Allah’s help. He also encouraged us to seek protection from mistakes we recognize and forgiveness for those we do not, reminding us that Allah is forgiving and merciful.

  3. What would you like to ask Allah to help our family learn or improve?
