Answer Allah's call through daily action

“A Muslim is someone who is a servant of God according to what they know to be the revelation from Him.”

The khateeb, at 12:08

Because believers will be accountable to Allah, they must answer His call by transforming revelation into daily conduct and mobilizing the mosque for justice, service, and moral leadership.

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that faith is not only a label or a Friday routine; it is answering Allah’s call in the way we think, speak, and act. The Companions changed quickly when they learned a command, and we were encouraged to build that same responsiveness through daily Qur'an reflection and learning one hadith. The mosque should be a living center for worship, learning, health, service, and solving community problems. We were also asked to resist scapegoating and work with people of shared moral concern to protect human dignity. This week, we can arrive ready for Jumu'ah, study a little each day, and choose one way to serve.

  1. What is one Qur'an teaching you could practice this week?
  2. How could our family help make the mosque more useful to others?
  3. What is one way we can serve people outside our immediate circle?
