Only Allah controls harm and benefit

“Don't think al-shaytan or the sorcerers can help or can harm you or even benefit you.”

The khateeb, at 5:24

In one sentence

Because harm and benefit come only by Allah’s permission, believers should reject sorcerers’ claims and protect themselves and their families through Qur’an recitation, Ayat al-Kursi, and prophetic supplications.

The khutbah in 6 steps

  4. Warns that Shaytan works through desires, doubts, and religious confusion to damage individuals and families.
  5. Prescribes protection through Surah al-Baqarah, Ayat al-Kursi, Surah al-Falaq, Surah al-Nas, and selected supplications.
  6. Closes with prayers, remembrance of the deceased, a Sunday-school fundraising announcement, and parking reminders.
