For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us that making life better begins with looking honestly at ourselves. The khateeb encouraged us to let the Quran guide our thinking, soften our hearts, and help us correct our actions. He asked us to work on jealousy, hatred, and unhelpful attitudes so we can build stronger families and communities. He also reminded us to make good use of our youth, health, wealth, free time, and life while we have them. We can begin today with a sincere intention, ask Allah for help, and take a useful step toward positive change.
