For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah gives us special opportunities to draw closer to Him, including the final nights of Ramadan. Even if we have fallen behind, we can begin now and give these remaining nights more care and effort. The Prophet worked especially hard during the last ten nights and involved his family in worship. We should seek Laylat al-Qadr throughout those nights, because its exact date can vary and its reward is greater than a thousand months. Prayer, Quran, charity, learning, and dua give us ways to worship, and we can ask Allah to pardon us because He loves to pardon.

  1. What is one good deed you could start today instead of saving it for later?
  2. How could our family help each other make time for worship during the last ten nights?
  3. What would you like to ask Allah for when you make dua tonight?
