For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that Allah alone controls intercession on Judgment Day. No person, wealth, or relationship can guarantee rescue; sincere faith and righteous deeds are what prepare us. The Quran, good deeds, and righteous companions may become means of intercession by Allah’s permission. We should therefore keep good company, help others, give charity, and sincerely understand our declaration of faith. The khutbah ended by asking Allah to show mercy to community members who recently passed away.
