For the dinner table

Imam Abdullahi reminded us that Allah created us to know one another and that our families are our closest community. He explained that caring for other believers means wanting good for them just as we want good for ourselves. He warned that busy schedules and time on devices can leave us disconnected, even when we live in the same home. He encouraged us to build regular moments together through meals, prayer, visits, and going to the masjid, using caring invitations instead of criticism and yelling. He also reminded young people to choose friends thoughtfully, because the people around us help shape our habits, character, and faith.

  1. What is one thing we do together that helps you feel close to our family?
  2. Who helps you become a kinder person, and how do they do that?
  3. What meal, prayer, or visit could we share this week?
