For the dinner table

Today, Imam Abdul Wali reminded us that our time in this world is limited and that we will return to Allah. He encouraged us to prepare through sincere faith, good deeds, and following the Prophet’s example. He asked us to notice blessings such as health and breathing and to thank Allah for them. Both hardship and comfort can test us, so having more should lead us toward gratitude rather than pride. His reminder gives us something to practice together: make time for good deeds, take our worship seriously, and bring our hearts into prayer.

  1. What blessing did you notice today, and how could you thank Allah for it?
  2. What good deed could we do together this week?
  3. What helps you pay attention to the words you say in prayer?
