For the dinner table

Today's khutbah described Islam not as a cage but as a path to freedom. The five pillars help us resist tyranny, Shaytan, despair, uncontrolled appetite and desire, money's pull, and social pride. Salah helps us return to Allah after mistakes, fasting trains self-control, zakat loosens money's grip, and Hajj reminds us that people are equal except in taqwa. The khateeb warned that a life built only around pleasure can become another kind of slavery. Families were encouraged to teach children that worship can bring dignity, peace, and honorable freedom.
