Talk about it at home

For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that this life is temporary and is a test, not our permanent home. Every breath and every stage of life is a chance to worship Allah and prepare to meet Him. We should use five blessings before they change: our youth, health, wealth, free time, and life. The speaker encouraged us to learn from the Quran and Sunnah, spend our time wisely, thank Allah for blessings, and stay patient through hardship. With that perspective, both ease and difficulty can bring us closer to Allah.

  1. Which blessing, health, time, money, youth, or life, do you want to use more wisely this week?
  2. What is one Quran passage or meaning you would like to learn and think about together?
  3. How can we show gratitude when something goes well and patience when something is taken away?
