For the dinner table

Children are a beautiful blessing from Allah, and the opening story reminds us that grief can be met with hope in the Hereafter. Because children are also an amanah, both mothers and fathers will answer for how they raised them. The khateeb said the first step is to become the kind of person we want our children to be, especially in our character and marriage. He then urged families to pray regularly and teach children that Allah’s authority is above everyone else’s. Finally, he encouraged parents to make heartfelt dua for their children’s guidance, protection, and righteousness.
