For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches that time is one of Allah’s greatest gifts because our lives are made from it. Health, youth, wealth, and free time are blessings that can disappear, so we should use them for worship, learning, good deeds, and service. The speaker reminds us that we will be asked how we used our lives, knowledge, wealth, and bodies. He also calls on communities to give young people meaningful activities instead of leaving them to harmful or empty entertainment. Every day is an opportunity to make our deeds grow before our time runs out.

  1. What is one part of your free time you would like to use more wisely this week?
  2. How could our family turn a break or vacation into something beneficial and enjoyable?
  3. What good deed could you repeat daily so your deeds keep growing?
