The khutbah taught that being Muslim begins with submitting to Allah, while deeper belief grows in the heart and appears in our actions. A believer trusts Allah and His messenger, feels joy in good deeds, and feels troubled by wrongdoing. Believers are also responsible for protecting, encouraging, and supporting one another as parts of one Islamic system. The speaker encouraged everyone to find their role, support new Muslims, and keep practicing even if they begin with one small, steady step.

  1. What is one good deed that makes you feel closer to Allah?
  2. How can our family make another believer feel supported this week?
  3. What is one small part of Islam we can practice more consistently?
