For the dinner table

Allah wants us to succeed in both this life and the next, and the khutbah said the real measure of success is iman, sincere faith, and amal salih, righteous action. Wealth, popularity, physical strength, beautiful homes, armies, and business can all be blessings, but none of them proves that someone is successful. The Qur'anic stories of Nuh, Fir'awn, Qarun, and others show that worldly advantages cannot save a person without faith and good deeds. We were encouraged to strengthen our iman and let it appear in how we live and treat others. The imam also asked the community to remember the deceased, support the mosque's future, and participate in the upcoming election.

  1. What do you think makes someone truly successful?
  2. What good action could show your faith this week?
  3. How can we enjoy nice things without letting them define us?
