For the dinner table

Today's khutbah reminded us to keep Allah in our hearts and prepare for the hereafter through what we do today. The khateeb explained that forgetting Allah can mean losing sight of our purpose and putting temporary things ahead of our faith, even while still performing religious duties. He also offered hope that hearts made hard by heedlessness can soften through Allah's words and remembrance. He encouraged us to read a little Qur'an every day, remember Allah morning and evening, choose righteous friends, and protect our prayers. As a family, we can help each other build these steady habits and remember Allah in both easy and difficult times.
