For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that taqwa means being mindful of Allah, following His guidance, and preparing to meet Him through our good deeds. He encouraged us to be content with what we have and to remember that our purpose is greater than chasing worldly pleasures. He explained that unity leaves room for different opinions, and that faith can bring hearts together, as it did for the people of Medina. Real success, he said, comes from standing up for what is right and resisting injustice, rather than collecting likes, followers, or wealth. As a family, we can follow the generous example of the Ansar by welcoming others and using the blessings Allah has given us to help our community.

  1. What is something you already have that you want to thank Allah for today?
  2. How could you stay kind and work together with someone whose opinion differs from yours?
  3. Who could we help feel welcome this week, and what could we do for them?
