For the dinner table

After recent storms, the khateeb asked us to look beyond the weather and notice Allah’s power, wisdom, and mercy. Rain and wind can sustain life, but they can also cause hardship, reminding us to be grateful in good times and patient in difficulty. We should care about small needs around us, not only the biggest tragedies in the world. Helping a neighbor, cleaning the masjid, volunteering, or giving practical support can be meaningful worship. Our kindness should be personal, proactive, and offered even when a problem does not directly affect us.

  1. How can we show gratitude when life is easy and patience when life is difficult?
  2. Who could use practical kindness from our family right now?
