Thank Allah for blessings and share them
“If you find yourself in a blessed position, try as much as possible to extend that blessing to other people.”
Allah’s quiet mercies include Islam and faith, reminders that humble us, and His concealment and forgiveness of our sins; believers should recognize, appreciate, and extend these blessings to others.

- He describes Allah’s concealment of sins and forgiveness, warning believers not to despair of divine mercy.
- He calls for humble, deliberate, sincere istighfar and closes with prayers for steadfastness, families, and the Muslim community.
In the khateeb's words
“So if you find yourself in a blessed position, try as much as possible to extend that blessing to other people. Because that's how the dunya evolves.”
“Don't let Sherpan beat you twice. He beats you into committing the sin. And then he beats you into losing hope of getting the mercy of the Almighty Allah.”
“Let's be humble. Let's take our time. Let's be responsible. Let's do it well.”
For the dinner table
Today's khutbah reminded us of Allah's silent mercies, the gifts we can easily overlook. The khateeb spoke about Islam and iman as blessings to cherish and nurture in the next generation. He encouraged us to notice everyday gifts, such as shelter and the air we breathe, and to respond to people in need with humility and generosity. He asked us to take stock of our own blessings instead of always looking at what others have. He also reminded us that Allah conceals our faults and forgives, encouraging us to keep hope in His mercy and seek forgiveness slowly, humbly, and sincerely.
- What is one gift from Allah you used today without thinking about it?
- What could our family share this week to help someone else?
- What could help you slow down and mean what you say when asking Allah for forgiveness?
