For the dinner table

Today's khutbah invited us to slow down and reflect on the signs Allah has placed in the Qur'an and the world around us. The khateeb explained that deep reflection means looking beyond the moment and considering where our choices will lead. He encouraged us to plan for our character and behavior, just as we plan for school or work. He also connected the beauty of variety in nature with appreciating the different people Allah has created. As stewards of the earth, we are called to let what we learn move us toward prayer, caring for creation, and taking action against injustice.
