“So, I want you to think of yourself as the reformers in the society. That's your message.”

“Every step in our life, we have to follow the Quran. For the Quran is a message that's sent to whom? To each one of us.”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khutbah introduced Allama Iqbal as a thinker who urged Muslims to revive a deep, authentic understanding of Islam. It reminded us that unity around Islam is stronger than divisions based on nationalism, tribalism, or other identities. Faith and justice were presented as foundations of real peace, and listeners were encouraged to become reformers who bring goodness to society. We were asked to learn from the Quran’s original guidance and let it guide our choices. The message is that receiving God’s guidance carries a responsibility: we must ask what we did with it.
- What is one part of your life where you could follow the Quran more closely?
- What is one helpful change you could make in your family or community this week?
- Why do you think justice is necessary for peace?
