“Let's take our time to plan for our real life, the hereafter.”

The khateeb, at 17:16

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah created things with a nature and a purpose, and that our purpose is to worship Him. Worship includes prayer and fasting, but it also shapes how we live and treat other people. He encouraged us to read the Quran thoughtfully, pausing to understand its guidance and bring it into our choices. Just as we plan for school, work, and retirement, he asked us to prepare for meeting Allah through prayer, taqwa, and giving what we owe to people in need. As a family, we can make time to reflect on the Quran together and help one another put its lessons into practice.

  1. How could you bring worship into an ordinary school day?
  2. What is one Quran passage you would like us to explore together?
  3. What could we do this week to care for someone in need?
