For the dinner table

The khateeb reflected on Musa and Pharaoh to warn against arrogance and remind us that freedom also requires people to grow inside. He urged us not to feel defeated by the suffering of Muslims, and he distinguished political success from the strength of faith. Remembering people in Gaza and others facing hardship, he called us to give more and spend less on our own comforts. He also reminded parents that raising faithful children begins with their own example and with making time to sit and talk together. He encouraged prayer, dua, and reading Quran, and asked Allah to bring peace between husbands and wives, parents and children.

  1. What would make our family time together feel more connected and less distracted?
  2. What would you like our family to make dua for together tonight?
