For the dinner table

Winter can become a special season of worship because its long nights make tahajjud and its short days make voluntary fasting easier. The khateeb encouraged us to increase charity, thank Allah for warmth and other blessings, and help people who lack them. He also asked us to reflect on snow and the wider creation, repair strained relationships, and use free time to learn the deen. A simple text, a food drive, a fast, a night prayer, or a class can turn winter into a season of growth.

  1. Who might need warmth, food, or kindness from our family this winter?
  2. What relationship or subject could you thoughtfully reconnect with during winter break?
