For the dinner table

Imam Fode Drame reminded us that the Prophet is a gift of mercy to creation and that we should thank God for this blessing. Gratitude includes showing our happiness and speaking about the gifts God has given us. It also means caring for those gifts instead of becoming so focused on what others have that we neglect our own. Through the story of Adam, the imam warned about false promises that tempt us to risk blessings we already have. As a family, we can appreciate Islam, faith, the Quran, and the Prophet, and show that appreciation through thoughtful choices and care.

  1. What is one gift from Allah that you feel happy about today?
  2. How could you take better care of a blessing you already have this week?
  3. What would you think through before trusting a promise that sounds amazing?
