The khateeb reflected on Allah as the light of the heavens and the earth and explained the Quran’s image of a lamp. He shared an explanation in which the flame represents iman, the glass represents our heart, and the oil represents the Quran that feeds our faith. Just as clear glass lets light shine through, a heart cared for through sincerity and turning back to Allah helps our iman show in our actions. He encouraged us to renew our relationship with the Quran, protect and clean our hearts, and choose surroundings that strengthen our faith. Through the example of the Prophet guiding Mu’adh ibn Jabal, he showed how small reminders and growing responsibilities can nurture faith over time.
