The khateeb described the Day of Judgment as a serious and frightening day, but also reminded us of reasons for hope. He spoke about the Prophet Muhammad’s love for his Ummah and how he will ask Allah to help his people through intercession. He emphasized that this hope includes people who have made mistakes and committed sins. He encouraged us to respond with sincere faith in Allah, prayer, reading Quran, following the Prophet’s example, and good character. As a family, we can grow in that love by sending blessings upon the Prophet and practicing his teachings in how we treat one another.

  1. What did you hear today that helped you feel hopeful about Allah’s mercy?
  2. When could we remind one another to send blessings upon the Prophet?
