For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that Allah is generous and merciful, and that small good deeds can carry great rewards. The khateeb encouraged us to keep up our worship after Ramadan, take care with our prayer and wudu, and remember Allah thoughtfully. He also reminded us that moving something harmful out of the way, helping people resolve problems, and caring for those in need are valuable acts of goodness. Our kindness should reach our families too, including how we speak and behave at home. Through all these deeds, we should seek Allah sincerely and follow the example of the Prophet, paying attention to quality as well as quantity.
