For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that Allah records both our deeds and the traces we leave behind. Even our steps to the masjid matter, including the effort nobody else notices. He encouraged us to use our time, health, and youth well while we have them, and to remember the value of small acts of worship, such as two extra raka'at. Our choices also affect other people, so we should think about the good or harm we leave around us. Each of us can begin with ourselves and become a good example for our family and friends.

  1. What small effort could you make for Allah tomorrow, even if nobody notices?
  2. Where could you make a little room in your day for prayer or remembering Allah?
  3. What good habit would you like our family to encourage in one another?
