For the dinner table

Today the khateeb reminded us to listen to the khutbah with the intention of putting its lessons into practice. He encouraged us to look to the Prophet’s companions as role models for faith and care for one another. He described remembering and thanking Allah throughout ordinary moments, including meals. He also stressed that people who embrace Islam need continued help learning how to pray and worship. He called for our masjids to be places of inviting people to Islam, teaching and learning, worship, and service to the community.
