For the dinner table

The khateeb began by grieving the ongoing killing and displacement of Palestinians and asked what ordinary Muslims can do. He said Muslims are connected like one body, so our worship, character, choices, and sins affect our families and the wider Ummah. He urged listeners to leave interest-based debt and businesses selling alcohol, CBD, or lottery products, while asking Allah for help and seeking a practical path out. He encouraged families to make marriage easier for young people, dress modestly, and protect themselves from sexual temptation. He also called everyone to learn the Quran, understand it, live by it, teach it, and represent Islam well to neighbors.

  2. How could we learn, understand, or share the Quran this week?
