For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that the Quran asks us to think deeply about Allah’s signs, even in a small creature like the honeybee. The bee takes in what is pure, works with humility, and brings benefit without harming others. We were encouraged to choose halal food and income, keep good company, treat family and neighbors well, and give more than we take. The khutbah ended with prayers for Muslims everywhere and for a sister who is seriously ill.
