For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah taught that the Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah belong together. The Qur’an gives guidance, while the Sunnah shows us how to pray and live that guidance. The khateeb encouraged us to ask Allah for steadfastness, mercy, forgiveness, gratitude, a sound heart, and a truthful tongue. He reminded us that everyday blessings should lead us to thank Allah and that ordinary life can be worship. We can carry this home by learning the Prophet’s example and trying to make our daily actions sincere and good.
