Never lose faith in your dua
“Never will any dua of yours go to waste.”
In one sentence
Believers should never lose faith in dua because Allah hears every sincere supplication, answers it in His wisdom, and calls them to persist while correcting sinful barriers.
The khutbah in 6 steps
- Ramadan is a season of dua as well as Quran and taqwa.
- The first crisis is losing faith when duas seem unanswered.
- Allah is close, and every dua produces an immediate, deferred, or protective outcome.
- The stories of Zakariya and Umm Salama illustrate persistence and divine timing.
- The second crisis concerns barriers including sinful conduct, unlawful income, family oppression, doubt, and impatience.
- Listeners are urged to continue making dua, examine themselves, and strengthen faith and patience.

Quotes
In the khateeb's words
“Never. Will your dua. Go to waste. Wallahi. Never. Will any dua of yours go to waste.”
“If Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave us everything, whatever we wanted and whenever we wanted, we would never have any appreciation for Allah and we would never have any appreciation for dua.”
“Instead of blaming Allah, we need to look at ourselves in the mirror and ask ourselves that am I doing something that is not right?”
“As long as we fulfill them, inshallah, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will understand our situation. Allah will accept our duas.”
Talk about it at home
For the dinner table
The khutbah teaches that dua is central to Ramadan and to every stage of life. Allah is close and hears us, even when the answer does not come in the form or timeframe we expect. A dua may be granted, saved as reward for the hereafter, or become a protection or benefit we never notice. We should keep asking with patience and confidence while examining our actions, income, relationships, and sincerity. The message is to keep the connection with Allah strong and never give up hope.
- What is one dua you want to keep making patiently?
- How might Allah answer a dua in a way we do not immediately notice?
- What does it mean to check our own actions before blaming others?
Keep listening
