The khutbah reminds us that our prayers should be supported by lawful choices, especially lawful income. Money earned through haram means does not become blessed simply because it is later used for worship or charity. Allah gives general mercy to everyone, while believers seek His special mercy through faith, humility, and obedience. Islam teaches supplications for many ordinary moments, such as entering the bathroom, visiting the mosque, and putting on clothes. We should learn these du'ahs and turn to Allah for protection from what we cannot see.

  1. What everyday activity would you like to start accompanying with a du'ah?
  2. Why do you think lawful income matters when we ask Allah for something?
  3. How can we show gratitude instead of becoming proud of our achievements?
