For the dinner table

The khutbah teaches us to notice and return the good people do for us. The Prophet showed gratitude by serving those who had helped his companions and by honoring Khadija’s friends long after her death. When we cannot repay someone directly, we should keep making du'a for them. We can begin by choosing one Prophetic quality to practice, increasing our worship, and responding warmly when others bring us good news.

  1. Which Prophetic quality would you most like to practice this week?
  2. What is one kindness you could repay with an action instead of only saying thank you?
  3. When have you received good news that made you want to help or celebrate someone else?
