For the dinner table

Imam Tariq reminded us that the Quran introduces us to Allah and teaches us tawheed, the belief that Allah is one and unique. He explained that Allah did not simply create us and leave us alone; He continues to sustain us and provide for our needs. Through Al-Fatiha, he encouraged us to understand what we recite and direct our worship and dua to Allah alone. He shared a childhood story about his father teaching him never to bow in prostration to anyone but Allah, showing how a parent's guidance can stay with a child for life. He encouraged us to keep learning the Quran so that our understanding of Allah and our faith grow clearer and stronger.

  2. What would you like to understand better about Al-Fatiha?
  3. What lesson from a parent or trusted adult has stayed with you, like the imam's father's advice stayed with him?
