For the dinner table

The khutbah invited us to open our hearts to Allah’s promise of Jannah so that we can remain hopeful and steadfast through life’s hardships. The khateeb reminded us that prayer, fasting, charity, and other good deeds bring us closer to Allah, but we enter Jannah through His mercy. He encouraged us to care for our speech, treat our spouses with patience and kindness, attend the masjid when we can, and surround ourselves with righteous friends. He described Jannah as a place where suffering, death, resentment, and need have ended forever. Above all its joys, the greatest reward will be seeing Allah and speaking to Him directly.
