For the dinner table

Friday is a special weekly gift, and honoring it can be a means for our minor sins from the past week to be forgiven. We should treat the final minutes before Maghrib as a valuable time for sincere dua and extra worship. The khateeb also encouraged us to bathe, dress well, smell good, come early, and avoid harming others. During the khutbah, we should quiet our mouths, hands, and eyes and focus on Allah’s reminder. He closed by asking Allah to help Muslims facing oppression and to make our families people of faith and good example.

  1. What would make this Friday feel like a mini Eid for you?
  2. What dua would you make before Maghrib this Friday?
  3. How can our family remember Muslims who are suffering?
