For the dinner table

The khutbah reminded us that righteous deeds bring blessings both in this life and after death. A believer’s faith should live in the heart, be spoken with the tongue, and appear through steady action and obedience. The angels bring comfort to those who lived with faith and righteousness, promising no fear, no sadness, and glad tidings of Jannah. The khateeb also described prayers, fasting, zakah, charity, and good character as protection in the grave. Since we do not know which good deed Allah may accept greatly, we should never underestimate simple acts of kindness, including donating blood to save lives.
