For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us to thank Allah with attentive hearts and to keep caring for our faith, because yesterday's efforts do not replace today's responsibilities. He connected a mother's nurturing love with the kind of loving community and leadership Muslims should build. Encouraging what is right and speaking truth are responsibilities for all of us, beginning with ourselves and extending to our families and society. He urged us to be good neighbors, help people in need, and find confidence in serving Allah rather than in money or status. We will make mistakes, but we can get up, try again, and teach our children to do the same while building something good for future generations.

  1. How could we show someone love while helping them learn something important?
  2. What family habit would you like to pass on to your own children someday?
