For the dinner table

The khutbah reminds us that every person comes from the earth, returns to it, and will be raised again to meet Allah. Our deeds, small and large, are recorded, so we should hold tightly to the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad. The speaker also encourages love and respect for the Prophet and hope in his concern for his ummah on the Day of Judgment. He asks the community to make du'a for people who are ill and to pray for peace around the world, especially for Palestinians. We can carry this reminder by living as Muslims, caring for one another, and keeping the shahadah close.

  1. What small deed would you like your record to show this week?
  2. How can our family practice the Qur'an and Sunnah together?
  3. Who can we remember in our du'a for healing and peace?
