Prepare for the Hereafter before life ends

“Let's maintain relationships for the pleasure of Allah.”

The khateeb, at 14:09

For the dinner table

Today’s khutbah reminded us that our life is temporary, and we can use our time to prepare to meet Allah. The khateeb encouraged us to repair broken relationships and love others in ways that please Allah. He said we should do our best in school and work while protecting our prayers and our relationship with Allah. Our intentions, actions, and responses matter: remembering Allah, giving what we can, forgiving, and being patient are all opportunities for good. He also reminded us of the honor of night prayer and encouraged independence from others.
