The Quran must shape daily life

“Live your life according to the Quran.”

The Qur'an should be a lived, shared guide through listening, recitation, study, practice, and teaching, especially within families.

For the dinner table

The khateeb reminded us that the Qur'an is meant to shape everyday life, not remain unopened. We should listen to it, recite it, study and ponder its meaning, live by its guidance, and remind others with care. Parents were urged to teach their children Qur'an, salah, dua, wudu, and ghusl so families can support one another in worship. The sermon also called us to share beneficial knowledge and attend Jumu'ah on time.

  1. What is one Qur'an practice our family could strengthen this week?
  2. Who could we help by sharing something we know about prayer or the Qur'an?
  3. What would help us arrive earlier for Jumu'ah?
